Legacy Partnership with Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.
Oriental Carriers Pvt Ltd (OCPL) has been associated with MSIL since 1984, playing a pioneering role in initiating and scaling up the rail movement of vehicles. Starting with small dispatches from New Delhi Railway Station, OCPL later organized full rake movements using VPUs and BFRs. In 1991, OCPL proposed and oversaw the conversion of passenger coaches into NMG car carriers, now widely used by MSIL and other automakers.
OCPL has transported millions of vehicles via rail, including a significant portion of MSIL’s export volumes. In addition to rail logistics, OCPL has been handling road transportation for MSIL across India, including factory-to-port movements, secondary distribution in states like Kerala and Chennai, and internal transfers between MSIL’s Gurgaon and Manesar plants.
OCPL further deepened its collaboration with Maruti Suzuki India Limited by developing a 4-acre railway stacking yard at Nidavanda, Karnataka. This facility, which is fully managed and operated by OCPL, serves as a critical hub for the efficient handling and dispatch of MSIL vehicles by rail in the southern region, reinforcing our commitment to expanding MSIL’s multimodal logistics footprint across India.
Expansion to Toyota Logistics
We further expanded our rail logistics capabilities by initiating the movement of Toyota vehicles by rail from Farukhnagar, Haryana, in collaboration with Toyota Logistics. This marked the beginning of Toyota’s foray into rail-based vehicle transportation in India. Our sister concern, JBJ Logistics, played a key role in supporting the development and operational setup of the Toyota Northern Rail Stockyard.
​In addition, we also manage the rail movement of Toyota vehicles from Nidavanda, Karnataka, thereby strengthening our presence across both northern and southern logistics corridors for automotive rail transport.

Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt Ltd (RNAIPL)
OCPL has also successfully collaborated with Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. (RNAIPL) for the rail movement of vehicles from Chennai to Nagpur, marking another milestone in our multi-brand rail logistics operations. Building on this success, we are now expanding our partnership with RNAIPL by exploring opportunities in pan-India road transportation and the development and management of vehicle transit hubs, further strengthening our role as a comprehensive automotive logistics partner.

Mahindra Logistics
OCPL also supports Mahindra Logistics in their rail dispatch operations by handling NMG rakes in the northern region, with a particular focus on movements to Delhi/NCR and Haryana. To enhance operational efficiency and ensure the safety of factory-fresh vehicles, our sister concern has developed a dedicated 2-acre railway yard exclusively for Mahindra Logistics. This facility provides secure, streamlined handling and reinforces our commitment to high service standards across clients.​
Isuzu India
Our collaboration with Isuzu was driven by their requirement to dispatch export vehicles via the Indian Railways. We closely partnered with their team to design and implement a viable rail logistics model, successfully executing vehicle dispatches using NMG rakes. The movement was carried out from Chennai to the Nepal border, and we also provided a dedicated parking facility to securely hold the vehicles until the completion of export-related documentation, ensuring smooth and compliant cross-border logistics.

Honda
We were also entrusted with the dispatch of Honda’s export vehicles to various ports, with a specific requirement to move vehicles by rail to Pipavav Port, followed by delivery to the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) stacking area. This movement was successfully implemented and has since evolved into a thriving and growing operation, with volumes increasing steadily month-on-month, reflecting both operational efficiency and client confidence in our capabilities.
